【あらすじ】
大恐慌時代、アメリカ南部の刑務所に、少女2人を殺し死刑判決を受けた大男が入所する。
暗闇を怖がり、純真な心を持つその男は、不思議な力で看守の病気を治すなど、次々に奇跡を起こす。
それを目の当たりにした看守主任は、彼が死刑に処されることに疑問を抱き始める。
